Hello there!

Do someone know a good sports doctor in our area?

Thank you!

Oscar

How are you going?

I use David McGilvray who is located in the Madison Centre Hornsby alongside Northside Physio. I saw him yesterday and have always been happy with his care.

Keep well

Hi Martin!

Everything OK, thanks.

A friend had in training a too high heart rate after pausing more or less 2 months because of a pneumonia. In theory he was healthy again but his heart had 30 to 40 bpm more than before the infection. The doctor said to him that it is all good, but it isn’t really. Do you think your doctor could help?

If your physiotherapist allows you to train again, we have to set up a bike round.

Regards

Just read your reply post having been away for some time.

Hey that is a big difference. Does your friend have any instructions (protocol) as to how to monitor things with a view to getting their heart rate back to normal? This should be a progressive thing I would have thought. I can understand that pnumonia has a sigificant affect, and upon the heart as well, so I am not surprised that it may have to work harder for some time after getting over it.

I am big on second opinions if you feel unsure. Cost and inconvenience does not come into it with health issues. Get some peace of mind from someone like David McGilvray or maybe a cardiologist specialist.

I had my first ride this morning (what a great morning - cool and fresh) and things felt great. I am building after a couple of months off, so give me a couple of weeks yet and we will touch base.
